Zairabear has a school field trip to Sacramento on Friday, May 19th.
She gets out of her field trip at 3pm and we're planning on hanging
around Sacramento that night to gather some area boxes.
We're also planning on dining at Fanny Ann's to get Black Cavalier's
box that's "planted" there. If anyone would like to meet for dinner
we'd be honored.
Also, any suggestions or updates to Sac area clues? Any MUST FINDS?
We'll probably have about 4 hours to box in Sacramento before
dinner/dark and then wander back to Gilroy the next day picking up
boxes in Davis and other spots along the way.

Hi Aahz, sorry to disappoint, but the last half of the clues at Fanny
Ann's have been erased. I'm not sure of our plans on Friday, but I/we
might be able to meet you there & I can walk you through the missing
clues & do an exchange too. I'll get back to you about dinner, but I
just wanted to warn you about the Fanny Ann's box not being active
(better update that on lb.org).
On the other hand, as of a few weeks ago, both my Eureka box &
artTrekker's box in the same place are still there, in spite of numerous
reports of their demise. I have heard though that Da Kool Kats' boxes
that are behind the counters in Old Sac businesses have been "lost",
meaning employees didn't know anything about them when they were asked.
I'm pretty sure Da Kats haven't pulled them, just probably employee
turn-over.
Depending on where the field trip is, you might be able to make it to
artTrekker's Sac Zoo box (www.saczoo.com). Note the Aloha Box is
missing. Other than that, the Old Sac boxes are probably the largest
concentration of easily accessable boxes in town (at least 3 that I know
of, not counting Fanny Ann's & Da Kats' boxes in the businesses).

I certainly hope so! That's part of the reason I picked that restaurant
(although we're open to other suggestions as well).
I discovered letterboxing a few scant weeks before last year's Gold Rush
Romp and nearly attended despite. I chose not to fo fear my ignorance would
become a hindrance to discussion. Had I known there would not be another
NorCal gathering for so long I would have made the journey regardless.
::sigh:: Live and learn.

Okay, we have a firm time at Fanny Ann's in Sac. Zairabear and I
will be there on Friday 5/19 at 7:00pm We shouldn't be too
difficult to find unless the place is commonly frequented by heavily
tattooed men hanging out with thier 10 year old daughter :-)
BTW, the name's pronounced Oz, like the wizard.

Actually, a heavily tatooted man is the norm there, daughter's not so
much (even though I brought my 2 yr old when we met Team Safari).
& speaking of which, I'll give you the warning that I should have given
to Team Safari, the bar used to be much less politically correct. It
has since been cleaned up, but there is still evidence of it's feminine
pictoral past.

Based on Aahz's email from last night, they're already on the road, but
for everyone else, my daughter & I will be showing up at Fanny Ann's
around 6:30 since Aahz is getting there early for my box. I may not
stick around much past 7:30 since that's my daughter's bed time.
Lisa, definatley come on up, give you a chance to go to Trails for
dinner.
